In anthroposophy the natural learning ability of the child is central. Each child knows what it needs and we only have to guide it.
In that respect, the two anthroposophic playgroups fit in well with the general philosophy of SPL. The anthroposophic playgroups are in many ways the same as the regular playgroups, but also very different.
Close to nature
In the anthroposophic playgroups, the seasons are central to the themes. The activities are close to nature. For example, we go outside with the toddlers every day, even in rain and wind. In addition, we use natural play materials in the playgroup. This way, visual stimuli are limited and toddlers can use their imagination to the maximum while playing. In your toddler’s fantasy world, a branch can really be anything!
Natural daily routine
The pedagogical team maintains a natural daily rhythm, which can be compared to inhaling and exhaling. A rhythmic alternation of active free play and moments to relax. In the morning, the children often start making their own bread. They can knead nicely with their hands, feel the bread. Then the smell of the bread stimulates the senses and at the same time teaches your toddler how their food is made.
Special atmosphere
The locations are arranged in a serene way, which gives plenty of room for development. It is best to experience the special atmosphere for yourself. Come and have a look at one of our anthroposophical locations:
